Last month I had the honor and pleasure of attending a four-day intensive training near Atlanta, GA, with the Grief Recovery Institute.

I am now certified to run multiple programs to support grievers.

8-week Grief Recovery Program – this is for all types of losses – death, divorce, loss of a job, loss of a friendship – there are so many types of losses that impact our ability to function at 100%. I’ve completed this program myself, and the heaviness that was lifted was incredible. At this time, I can only offer these in the Columbia, SC and surrounding areas, but my goal is to get to the point where I’m certified to run these in weekend training sessions and online.

This is offered in both group programs and individual support.

*8-week Pilot training group is currently in progress. Stay tuned for more group programs to start in 2020. Individual support is currently available.

6-week Pet Loss Program – following a very similar curriculum as the 8-week program, this is focused 100% on the person who is finding it very difficult to recover after the loss of your pet.

This is offered in groups or individually.

*I’m looking for participants for my first pilot program to begin in 2020.

4-week Helping Children with Loss / Helping Children Grieve program – this program is for parents of all types, grandparents, teachers, counselors, and other caregivers who want to help their child/student/foster-child navigate difficult experiences in their life, to include the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent, or other family member, the loss of a pet, the divorce of parents, a move to another home/community, or any other issue that may cause your child sadness and anxiety. This program is different because it is not an implementation program for the attendee, rather a program designed to provide the tools to work with the child in their life.

*I’m looking for participants for my first pilot program to begin in 2020.

And I can offer any of these as 1:1 support as well.
