Hannah

Kelly DeBie is a force of nature. I don’t even remember how we came across each other in the blog world, but somehow we became friends. And I’m so glad for that. Through her, I was introduced to a writing group and the Fiction Friday series, which I haven’t been able to participate in much lately. She is an incredibly powerful writer, an amazingly smart and sharp woman, and not afraid to tackle the most difficult of issues on her blog, DeBie Hive.

Kelly was also one of the first bloggers I turned to when I decided to create Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother. Because I knew, from reading her blog, that Kelly had also suffered the loss of a baby.

Kelly agreed to participate. She also delivered several of our other amazing contributors. Regina from the Apocalyptic Ginger Chronicles, Sheila from Mary Tyler Mom, and Starr of The Insomniac’s Dream.

Today is the 14th anniversary of the loss of Kelly’s daughter, Hannah.

In memory of her sweet baby, Kelly has written a beautiful post, Hannah and the Legacy She Left Behind. Kelly is also generously giving away a copy of Sunshine After the Storm, so please go enter for your chance to win it.

Peace,

Alexa
